#12: Andres Vesalius
It seems like everywhere you look, Wikipedia is filled with Mothers and Fathers, each claiming to have laid the foundations for some important thing. Often, you can even find multiple people claiming the same title, even if they lived in different countries and centuries apart.

However, most of the mothers and fathers populating our Wikipedia pages can’t claim they found their feet by stealing body parts from deceased persons. Vesalius may have only done this a couple of times while starting, but it seems to have been enough to give him a reputation.
