#31: Publius Cornelius Scipio Africanus
I’m sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings here. I don’t have too much pity for one Roman general whose achievements were overshadowed by a Carthaginian one. It might be because the events they’re famous for happened so long ago, or maybe because I’m sure any successful Roman general received enough credit in his lifetime.

Either way, while we’re all familiar with Hannibal’s name, we may not know what he did anyway, so at the end of the day, there’s not that much difference between the two. Well, if you hadn’t guessed it, Publius Cornelius was famous for conquering Africa (as well as for defeating Hannibal).
