The Simpsons Writing Room, 1992
The Simpsons is a household name these days. The animated sitcom first aired in 1989, and it’s the longest-running sitcom in American history with a whopping 31 seasons. This photo is a “before they were stars” moment because it was taken in the writer’s room in 1992 when The Simpsons were just starting out. Little did the writers know their show would become a huge part of American pop culture.
This looks like a typical writer’s brainstorming meeting, but it seems to hold more significance because we know how much of a stalwart The Simpsons would become on TV. Also, see that guy in the middle of the frame holding a sandwich and a cola? That looks like none other than a young Conan O’Brien!
