#13: Gargantuan Horse Heads
Standing over 90 feet tall, the Kelpies are a sculptural wonder designed by Andy Scott. These mythological creatures put many gigantic objects to shame, as not only is the art installation a behemoth undertaking that towers above tourists but these Scottish legends are known to be as strong as ten horses combined. The symbology alone is enough to set off a bout of megalophobia.

For those of you who don’t know, kelpies are water spirits that lure in unsuspecting victims and drag them underwater. Many stories claim that not only can they shapeshift into horses, but they can also look like men as well. Today, it’s primarily used as a way to keep children from playing in unsafe water conditions.
