#8: Stayin’ Alive
Coincidentally enough, the Bee Gees hit song “Stayin’ Alive” provides just the right beat for CPR to be administered at a correct pace. The song keeps resuscitators’ chest compressions at a steady 100-120 compressions per minute which is ideal for saving a life. Sing it with us – “Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive.” It’s a good thing it’s such a catchy tune.
It has also been noted that the “Nelly the Elephant Song” works in a similar way, and so does the hit song, “Another One Bites the Dust” By Queen. However, it’s worth mentioning this is probably not the best song to be playing while you’re trying to receive someone. We strongly suggest you stick with the Bee Gees on this one.
