#26: Oh Great, More Work
Something that management often doesn’t understand is that employees don’t care about the company’s success as much as management doesn’t, and they don’t see the company’s success as a personal reward. Most people are there for the money and they just want to get their assignments done, get on with their day and go home.

The management at this place definitely doesn’t get that. They’ve put up an inspirational message on the TV at the conference room saying, “The reward for a job well done is the opportunity to do more.” How backward is that? The reward for a job well done should be a nice bonus or a day off, not more work!
