#4: I Need a Break
Trying to encourage your employees not to be on their phones can be a tough one to crack. Whether it be a cafe or office workspace, checking your phone every few minutes is a normal activity. There is a limit to what is appropriate when checking your phone at work because, after all, you are meant to be working.
This reaction to phone use at work is over-the-top, though. To cost an employee 30 minutes of their pay each time they check their phone is a very big threat. What is someone meant to do in the case of an emergency? We sure hope that if something terrible happens, the management staff will be slightly more understanding than that.
