Middle Grave Creek Road – West Virginia
There’s something about the West Virginia wilderness that just sounds so peaceful. Perhaps it’s the way John Denver describes it. Either way, the woods of West Virginia are definitely a must-see to everyone who hasn’t had the great experience of enjoying them. We all could use some more Country Roads.
The name Middle Grave Creek Road in Moundsville, West Virginia makes sense, considering the area it’s set in. Moundsville was named after Grave Creek Mound, which is one of the largest burial mounds in the United States. Anytime we hear the word grave, a shiver runs down our spine–so we won’t be taking a trip to Middle Grave Creek Road anytime soon.
