Chicken Dinner Road – Idaho
I think we can all agree that chicken is delicious. And even more satisfying than a piece of perfectly seasoned chicken is a high-quality and diverse chicken dinner with lots of home cooked sides. Mashed potatoes with gravy, corn on the cob, and freshly baked rolls are all a part of the perfect chicken dinner. We’re getting hungry over here!
Well, this street has quite the backstory. Apparently, in an effort to get their road paved a little faster, Lauran and Morris Lamb made a chicken dinner for Idaho governor C. Ben Ross so that they could convince him to help with the construction. This must have made someone very angry, because shortly after the road was paved, a vandal painted the words “Lamb’s Chicken Dinner Avenue” in bright yellow along the new road.
