#14: Bicycle Face
It is no secret that for a long time, women were not allowed to partake in the same activities as men. Whether it be because it was unladylike or because only men were capable of doing it, people would come up with many different reasons as to why women couldn’t do something.
I think it is safe to say that women most certainly do not experience “bicycle face.” Apparently, in the 19th century, women were told that if they rode bicycles, they would get bulging eyes and jutting chins. At least we know better than to believe this kind of thing these days.
