Crystal Clear
Flexibility is a nice thing to have when it comes to a job, but there should also be some structure. When interviewing for a position, make sure the employer has clear-cut expectations for the role. If they don’t, you could end up doing more work that you won’t be fairly compensated for.
A company should understand what it wants out of a position. If they don’t, how are you, as the employee, supposed to know? Leaving ambiguity like this leads to underperformance, employee dissatisfaction, and unnecessary stress. That’s why it’s always important to ask about the day-to-day responsibilities of a role.
