No In-Between
One person shared that the length of time employees stay at a company can be a red flag. If a place has a mix of employees that are new hires and old guards with nothing in-between, that can be a bad sign. Sure, it’s nice to learn from coworkers who have worked at a company for 15+ years, but how long have they been in their current position?
When there are not any employees who are mid-career, this implies there is no room for growth, promotions, or pay increases. When people work at places like this, they have to leave in order to move forward in their careers. Otherwise, they’ll just be stuck working in the same position for years and years. That’s fine for some people, but not for everyone.
