Small Things That Are Oddly Irritating

Raise your hand if you hate it when the ink smudges on the paper. Congratulations! You’re not the only one. The worst part is when we smudge the ink with our hands, as we move on to write the next word. Then our hand is dirty as well as the paper. It’s like the two birds in the hand principle, only the other way around.

And it isn’t just one particular pen that does it – but almost every type of pen out there. So there’s no way to avoid it by choosing a different pen. I guess we’re all doomed to live a life of smudgy pens and papers, half-empty bags of chips, and uneven floors. Oh, we didn’t get to the floor yet?
