#15: Bring Back the Spark
Unfortunately, we all have a beautiful set of silverware that loses its spark over time. This person is here with a quick and easy way to clean it and give it back this spark: Start by lining a glass or aluminum container with aluminum foil, ensuring the shiny side faces up. Place your tarnished silverware inside the container, making sure it’s in direct contact with the foil.
Bring water to a boil in a separate pot or kettle, and then add a tablespoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of salt to the container. Carefully pour the boiling water over the silverware and watch as a chemical reaction occurs, removing the tarnish from the surface. After a few minutes, gently remove the flatware, rinse it in warm water, and dry it with a soft cloth. Thanks to this simple and cost-effective cleaning method, your silver-plated flatware will gleam like new.
