Hi Mom
We want to keep our parents and our social media accounts separated. If you ask the young generation, their parents have nothing to do with social media – they don’t belong in that sphere, and they should leave it to the youngsters. We want to be able to show the crazy, fun moments of our lives on social media, not the boring moments – those are reserved for our parents.
That’s why, when our parents breach this border and add us as friends on social media, it poses a problem. On the one hand, we can’t decline them – we don’t want to hurt their feelings. On the other hand, we don’t want them to see everything we’re up to. This guy did the only thing he could thin of – he accepted his mother’s request and started posting stories he knew his mom would appreciate. If you ask us, he went too far with the 9 o’clock bedtime.
