#24: Thank You, Next
Giant depictions of crucifixions are one thing, but when you add the orange lighting, and it starts to look like a pyre, you need to rethink your design. If aliens landed and saw this, they’d immediately hop back in their ship and fly away! What makes this even worse is knowing this is the entrance to a cemetery.
The artist is well known now, but at the time of his work, he was relatively obscure. His name is Francisco Salamone, and in the span of three years (1956-1959), he built SIXTY municipal buildings. His work varied from cemetery portals to slaughterhouses and town halls. He died in 1959 at the age of 62 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He’s become posthumously famous for his work.
