Growing up, the Cartoon Network animated series Courage the Cowardly Dog used to give us nightmares on a regular basis. I’m sure if we’d watch it now, it would just as terrifying. In case you aren’t familiar with it, the show follows an elderly (and creepy) couple who live in the Middle of Nowhere with Courage, their frightened little dog.

The couple lives in a creepy house located in The Middle of Nowhere – a deserted area appropriately named where strange phenomena take place on a regular basis. Courage, the cowardly dog, has to face scary situations in every episode! As it turns out, the creepy house from the show (in the below photo), was inspired by a real house in New Mexico.
