#21: I’m Not Loving It
This McDonald’s Happy Meal building is something straight out of nightmares. I hope they weren’t going for a kid-friendly look because this has “murder scene” written all over it, especially with the smoke streaming out. Thankfully, this isn’t a restaurant building at all. It’s an art installation by Filip Hodus titled Happy Meal. He built it in 2017.
He’s well known for taking things beloved by children and rendering them into atrocities that would terrify the faint at heart. His latest work is a graffitied and decrepit version of Olaf, but he has also done the Minions and Bart Simpson. He calls his art dystopian renderings (we can see why), and you can find his work on Facebook.
