Power plants always seem a bit horrifying, but this power plant photographed by Greg Girard at dawn adds a whole new level of scary. Girard is a world-renowned photographer who has had his work showcased in numerous famous publications. His mission has been to document the transformations that happen within large cities as they grow.
This Canadian photographer spent many years abroad, traveling throughout Asia for 13 years from 1998-2011. He’s published two books with his findings and is a regular contributor to National Geographic. He knew exactly what he was doing when he took this photograph, making sure to elicit emotions of horror from viewers.
