Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
For us, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will always be Jamie Lannister. Coster-Waldau was born in Denmark and that’s where he started his acting career, first in theater and then in film. In 1997, he starred in the British drama Bent, alongside Jude Law, Clive Owen and Mick Jagger. He moved to the US in the early 2000s and appeared in Ridley Scott’s Black Hawk Down (2001).
In 2011, he received the role of a lifetime when he was cast as the infamous Jamie Lannister on the hugely successful Game of Thrones. Coster-Waldau said that Jamie was a lovable character (not everyone would agree with that), and that he couldn’t have asked for a better role. This role brought him critical success and worldwide fame.
