Sarah Silverman
Actress, comedian and singer Sarah Silverman has always been interested in stand-up comedy. Her first performance was at the age of 17, but she recalls this as an awful experience. She didn’t give up, though, and in the early nineties, she joined the cast of Saturday Night Live as a writer and actress. She only stayed for one season though, and later said she wasn’t ready at the time for SNL.
In 2007, Silverman debuted her own sitcom on Comedy Central, The Sarah Silverman Program. The show was a moderate success and earned her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination, but was canceled after three seasons. In 2011, Silverman starred in the comedy Take This Waltz alongside Seth Rogen. In 2010, she published an autobiography titled The Bedwetter.
