#37: The Burn Book
When it comes to enemies, we all have them. Whether they are sworn enemies that only want your demise, or whether they are simply just not your friend, everyone has an enemy of some sort. No matter how hard you might try to not, they will always be around.
And in ancient Greece people used to write their enemies’ names down on a piece of pottery that was called Ostrakon, in the hope of expelling them from Greece. It might seem like a rather intense practice, but that is how we came to use the word “ostracize”.
