#2: Use Your Fridge Wisely
In your fridge, there are usually two different fresh food drawers, and there’s a reason for that. While you can load these up with a mix of different fruits and vegetables in each, it is better to actually separate your fruits and vegetables. You might not think that there’s a difference, but there are a few reasons why this can harm your groceries.
As this picture says, there is a gas that fruits give off that ripens your veggies faster. This can be beneficial sometimes. Some fruit absorbs odors easily as well and may start to taste like onions or peppers, which may make your fruits gross to eat. In that case, separating your fruits and veggies will help them last longer.
