#40: You Don’t Have to Give Up Meat
It’s no secret that the meat industry is terrible for the environment, and a lot of people think that to make a difference, you have to eliminate meat. While eliminating meat and other unsustainable food would be the best option, it isn’t feasible. Meat is full of protein and nutrients that are hard to get with just vegetables and legumes.
Instead of giving up meat completely, taking a day or two a week where you don’t eat any meat is a great option. You can also take steps to reduce the amount of meat you eat by mixing it with more vegetables. For example, instead of using just ground beef in your tacos, add some mushrooms or jackfruit as well. It will help fill you up, reduce calories, and help the environment.
