Since Many Years, The Fishing Village Has Been Abandoned
Even though the fishing community on the Shengsi Islands has been abandoned for a number of years, there is no evidence to suggest that it has fallen into disrepair. After people stopped living there, it reverted into the most astonishingly verdant village you could possibly imagine, full of ivy and other forms of lush vegetation.
Located approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles) from Shanghai, this fishing village was previously home to over 2,000 fishermen. However, by the beginning of the twenty-first century, the community was unable to satisfy the demand coming from the mainland. Slowly but surely, everyone departed, and now there are only a few residents left.
