#44: Say Four
Sometimes the rejection comes in the form of a rhyme scheme. That said, the one suffering that rejection doesn’t always comprehend what the rejector tells them. But hey, who says you can’t inject a little fun into an oftentimes somber situation? Take the following exchange below, for example.
It starts with the smitten asking their crush to “say eight.” The crush obliges, so the smitten takes it a step further. “Will you be my soulmate?” they ask. “Say four,” the crush replies, to which the smitten quickly fires back, fulfilling the ask. However, the conversation ends there. The poor convo initiator is barred from continuing the messages. Is the “four” supposed to rhyme with “Learn More”?
