Bananas for Bananas
Did you know that we have actually altered the fruit and vegetables we eat to make them more appealing and aesthetically pleasing? Yes, many of the fruits you have on your kitchen table actually once looked quite differently when they were discovered in nature.

Bananas date back over 7,000 years and as you can see, are nearly unrecognizable from the fruit today. Bananas were crossbred to be more yellow, slim, and delicious. Food can also be altered to become more sweet, sour, or to change the texture. Next time you are pursuing the grocery aisle you can be sure that the cousins of the produce there once looked quite different.
