Baby Monitors
Would you believe that the first baby monitor was a direct result of the tragic Lindbergh kidnapping? In 1932, the son of Charles Lindbergh, a prominent aviator, was kidnapped from his home while both his mother and nanny were in the house. This sad event inspired Eugene McDonald, who worked for Zenith, to invent a baby monitor.
Fast forward to today- parents love to use baby monitors to watch their baby sleeping. Monitors ensure the parents can keep an eye on their baby without having to be physically present in the room. Most monitors now run on wifi and allow parents to speak to the baby, play music, and offer night vision features.
