Time For Change
Just like many things in life, there comes a time when you have to move past the status quo and demand change. There are many things that come into our lives at one point that look a certain way and over time begin to change… There are many reasons for such change, but there is nothing like a changing society to make you rethink your choices.
And all we have to say is when it came to Barbie changing her appearance, it was about time. In 2016 toy maker, Mattel decided to make a change to how Barbie looked after having received years of criticism. In a statement released by the senior vice-president, Evelyn Mazzocco of Barbie said, “These new dolls represent a line that is more reflective of the world girls see around them – the variety in body type, skin tones, and style allows girls to find a doll that speaks to them.”
