This time, the people at Mattel have actually gone that little step further and made a rather historic Barbie doll.
Well, 4-time Emmy award-winning, transgender actress Laverne Cox has gotten herself her very own Barbie doll replicated after her. Laverne is a strong advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and has worked incredibly hard to get where she is today. Considering that this is the first trans-Barbie doll ever made, it shows that the people at Mattel are finally listening to the consumer.
