Dancing in the streets
At the young age of 19, Elizabeth saw the end of the second world war, an event that saw millions dead and changed the course of history forever. So you could imagine that when it was all finally over, there was a massive celebration in place on the streets of London.
Well, she wasn’t about to miss it, and she joined her future subjects on the joyous occasion. She snuck out of the royal palace with her sister Margaret and danced with the masses in the street. It was reported that she did a move called the ‘hokey cokey’, we guess that was the go-to move from back in those times.
