The Future is Now
Some of us poke fun at futuristic but useless inventions because we think they’ll never gain in popularity. Well, a lot of science fiction eventually does come true, in some form or another. Hugo Gernsback invented the Television Goggles back in 1963, and it seems they came back into fashion recently.

These Television Goggles served as inspiration for the more recent invention of Google Glass. Gernsback was an inventor, writer, and is given credit as the “Father of Science Fiction.” He even founded the first science fiction magazine. Gernsback was a pretty forward-thinking guy. His goggles and other inventions have influenced much of the virtual reality tech we have today.
