#38: Starry Starry Night
If you want a poetical way to say that there’s a lot of something, you might say that it’s “as numerous as the stars in the sky.” Or, for a more earthbound version, you might say there “as many as there are the grains of sand on all the beaches in all the world.” But which of those is actually a larger number?

If that question has plagued you and kept you up at night, then worry no more! We’ve got the answer: there are more stars than sand. So the next time you’re looking for a nice turn of phrase, use sand for a big number but stars for an even bigger one.
