#47: The Humble Hazelnut
With each state, comes a unique set of traditions, culture and type of people. But little did you know that certain U.S. states have a little more than just that! Did you know that the state of Oregon is the only state with its own nut – the hazelnut.

We know it might sound kind of weird that a state be granted its own nut, but this little bit of trivia exists for a reason. More than 1,300 farms in Oregon grow hazelnuts, making up 100% of the hazelnut crop in the United States.
