Don’t Tell Me What to Eat
For many people, sharing meals with others or going out to eat are the primary ways they socialize and celebrate special events. But did you know a lot of plus-size individuals experience an unconscious fear of eating in front of others? For those who identify as plus-size or fat, eating out can be a social and physical minefield.
Although this fear is more common than we think, many plus-size individuals have learned to overcome that and are not fazed by the hateful looks or comments they might get while eating out. And honestly, why would anyone think it’s ok to interrupt a stranger’s meal just to say they shouldn’t eat that because of their weight? For me, that’s much weirder than fearing eating in front of people…
