Like they do in the Caribbean
Some countries are famous for queuing. Britain, for example, has a fine history of queues, and many rules surrounding what is and isn’t allowed. Even here in the States, queue etiquette is pretty important and cutters are hounded out by fellow queue members. Perhaps, however, we should look further afield for a better way.
Turn your attention to the Caribbean and to the way that they handle waiting in line. If you were to find yourself in a long line of people waiting at the ticket office, for example, you’d simply take off your shoes, place them at the back of a long line of other people’s shoes and go and sit down, until your shoes were in front. Ingenious!
