Erasing your mistakes
For those of us still writing with a pen or pencil, and not typing everything out on our tablets or living purely in voice notes, there will be times when we spell something wrong or change our mind on what we want to say. Usually, you’ll scribble out the offending item with a few wiggly lines. The downside is that the word is still legible underneath the squiggles.
The better way to erase something without an eraser is to write random letters over the top of it. That way it’s so confusing for the person trying to read it as their brain tries to make sense of the jumbled words. Your mistake will be impossible to read, which is a relief.
