Cookie Surprise
Moms are always looking for ways to repurpose and reuse everyday items. Take the classic Danish butter cookie tin. Throw away a perfectly good tin box when all the cookies are gone? Never! Repurpose it to hold your personal sewing kit? But of course! As kids, many of us would excitedly open a cookie tin, drooling with the promise of delicious cookies, only to be disappointed to find thread, needles, and pins. It’s only as we grow older that we appreciate the thriftiness of moms.
This poster carried on the cookie tin tradition by making her own sewing kit and storing it in an emptied-out Danish cookie container. Mothers know the value of a sturdy container. Even if you don’t store sewing materials in them, saving well-made tins and boxes has its advantages! You never know when they’ll come in handy.
