Women Took to Social Media to Share the Moment They Knew They’d Turned Into Their Mother

March 25, 2010 by Regina Clarke

Waking Up Before the Alarm

The hypothalamus is the part of our brain that makes us wake up without an alarm. It can either get sharper or duller with age, allowing some to wake up early while others have to keep hitting snooze. That part of the brain is super sharp for most parents. Remember being woken up for school at the crack of dawn? How our parents were able to wake up and function so early is one of the many mysteries of adulthood.

This person unlocked a new level of adulthood when they started bragging about how early they can wake up without an alarm. Now it’s their turn to rise and shine, make coffee, and wake up the other people in their house! If that’s not impressive, we don’t know what is.
