Sometimes, tenants are particularly picky about where they stay. These people usually don’t have much to spend on lodging, so as long as they have a roof over their head, they can make do with whatever problems there are. That being said, it’d be nice if that roof over their head didn’t leak and shelter possums.

To you landlords out there: just because you’re renting out a home or apartment unit for cheap doesn’t mean you can treat your tenants like garbage. In fact, sprucing up the place might actually raise the property’s value and draw in more high-paying tenants. Nobody thinks long-term about these things…
