Celebrating a Straight Spine
Here’s another example of a scoliosis patient who benefited from spine realignment surgery. She was diagnosed with the problem at the age of 15, and her doctors stated that she would need to wear braces throughout her life. As a result, without considering it further, her parents made the decision to repair her back whatever the cost.
At last, the physicians were able to place two titanium rods in her 65-degree spine to straighten it out. The resulting scar, a sharp line extending from between her shoulder blades to her lower back, she would have to live with. To mask her scar, she got a perfectly straight spine tattooed on herself as a celebration of her good health.
