Crying Is Not Manly
What is it about the word “manhood” that makes so many people, especially men and boys, get defensive? How many times have we heard, “Men don’t cry”? For a long time, this has been our culture.

A man crying or expressing his emotions is commonly ridiculed and seen as a sign of weakness. This double standard is not only incredibly harmful to men’s emotional well-being and mental health, but it also causes young boys to be afraid of showing their emotions for fear of being made fun of.
