Jackie Robinson – 1948 Leaf
Robinson’s achievements as a player are well-known, especially in the United States. Because he broke the color barrier in the MLB, he is regarded as a pillar in baseball history and American history. He also had more to show for it. During his ten years with the Brooklyn Dodgers, he made six All-Star appearances, won Rookie of the Year in 1947 and MVP in 1949, led his team to a World Series victory, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962.
On April 28, 1948, Robinson’s historical impact made his 1948 ace extremely sought-after and valuable, especially among collectors. This 1948 card is also much rarer than other cards from the 1950s. Prices vary depending on the condition; however, a grade 8 sold in 2019 for around $75,000.
