Satchel Paige – 1948 Leaf #8 Rookie Card
Satchel Paige is the only player in major league history to have made his debut in five decades when he debuted for the Cleveland Indians at age 42 in 1948. He was a renowned pitcher in the Negro Baseball League before embarking on this MLB career.
He was a two-time All-Star at the age of 22, despite being one of the league’s youngest members. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1971, having been a nine-time All-Star. This card is quite difficult to obtain in high quality, but if you happen to have one somewhere, it may be worth $400,000.
