Ken Griffey Jr. – 1990 Topps #336
The Seattle Mariners’ Ken Griffey, Jr. is another name on our list who made a second appearance. He was anticipated to achieve greatness from the time the Mariners picked him, and he did not disappoint. Griffey, Jr.’s reputation as “The Natural” stems from his 641 home runs, more than 1,800 RBIs, and over 9,000 at-bats in his career.
Griffey, Jr. was a favorite and well-known player of his day. “When we were in Seattle together,” recalled Lou Piniella, “I believe he was the best player in baseball, and it was truly an honor to be his manager.” This particular Topps card with the award in the lower left corner may sell for $500 or more.
