Venice
Venice is a well-known tourist destination — and for plenty of excellent reasons. The city, which was founded on top of over 100 little islands and literally floated between them, is a very popular tourist site. It was once the international financial center during the Middle Ages and Renaissance period.
However, it also implies that it’s bustling with tourists and street vendors who try to take advantage of them even during the supposed “off-season.” While it is undoubtedly an attraction, prepare your journey carefully and set realistic expectations, so you don’t wind up dissatisfied.
