Sticky situation
Speaking of parental responsibility, there are so many things that you have to teach your children so that they can function without you in the wider world. Some days it feels as if you’re going to have to stand next to them forever, reminding them that washing their hands every now and again is a good idea.
Or, for example, that munching on a glue stick, even if it’s one of those new-fangled scented ones, is a terrible idea. I wonder whether this conversation was a cautionary tale based on family experience, or whether little Sarah had come home and said her best friend had told her glue was tasty. Either way, kudos to mom for laying down the logic.
