You bet that’s a paddlin’
Physical punishment is largely out of use in our day – and thank goodness for that – but Jasper believes in giving a paddlin’ to his students when they commit small offenses such as looking at Jasper’s sandals, talking out of your turn or looking out the window. In Jasper’s lexicon, parking in other people’s spots would surely calls for a paddlin.
If you didn’t recognize the reference, it’s from the legendary sitcom The Simpsons, when grandpa’s Simpson good pal Jasper becomes a school teacher. The person who wrote his note has a fine sense of humor, and they also have impressive drawing skills. This sketch of Jasper is almost as impressive as this hilarious (and very appropriate) reference.
