#44: Is That What Family Means?
This t-shirt is evidence that the use of a catchy phrase, or some part of one, can be effective even when taken entirely out of its context. I’ll almost definitely remember this campaign for Type 1 Diabetes awareness even though I have no connection with it, simply because of an artificial association with Lilo & Stitch.
Whoever thought of this idea had a great deal of cunning to realize that the motto of the little Hawaiian girl and her blue monster could be repurposed so effectively to convey a message completely unrelated to the content of the film. And the faint blue silhouette in the background just tops it off.
