Jared Allen
It’s never easy making your way to the top in the NFL. Any small decision in high school or college can make or break your future career. No pressure. Jared Allen didn’t have an easy time making it to the NFL, but he kept going and was eventually rewarded. Believe it or not, the bad luck started in high school.
Allen transferred schools during his senior year of high school, and he lost most of his football scholarship offers. He even lost one he verbally committed to at the University of Washington. Bummer. Despite this setback, he went on to play for Idaho State and later was signed by the Minnesota Vikings. Oh, and his contract was worth a whopping $73 million. No biggie.
